In the last two years, Kaboom Advertising has developed a sizable portfolio of clients varying in all areas of required expertise. Below is a sample of some of the projects we have worked on in the last two years. Check back often and see if your company makes the list! Alternative Advertising
Bottom Dollar Foods - This campaign was held in the Hampton Roads market of Virginia. The Kaboom street teamers visited 5 locations in Norfolk and Newport News to create a buzz and excitement around the new banner in the market. Our street teamers dressed in costumes and branded t-shirts and passed out redemption coupons to encourage people to shop at the newly branded grocery store.
Anytime Fitness - The franchised gym came to the Norfolk market and held a successful grand-opening party. Our mission was to engage the neighborhood and businesses around the gym to invite them all to come to the big party. Our costumed street teamers of "before" and "after" snowmen covered the streets and passed out free passes and spread the word about the grand opening.
PETA - The internationally known animal advocay group was taken to the streets of NYC for this four week anti-fur campaign targeting specific areas in the city. Our street teamers targeted SOHO, Times Square and Madison Ave. to educate the public on PETA's, "I'd Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur" campaign. During this month-long campaign, we placed over 3000 wild-postings in key areas near fur retailers. Hylexin - Cannes, France was the center stage for this out of home campaign for the cosmetic line Hylexin. Kaboom used creative design, strategic placement strategies and modern technology to place LED images of the product and branding image throughout the streets of Cannes, targeting specifically the Cannes Convention Center. The citywide branding was designed to drive traffic to the client’s booth at the Tax Free World Association event.

Amatokin - The streets of Bologna were littered (legally) with images of the Amatokin skin care cream. We wrapped a bus, placed framed wild postings along major streets and placed Amatokin signage over a majority of bus stops centering the Bologna Fiere (one of the world’s largest convention center) in support of CosmoProf. The event drew thousands of people from all over the world. While we captured their attention in the streets, our Kaboomers canvassed the Fiere Center on branded Segways and on foot letting people know about the product and the position of the client’s booth within the convention center. ________________________
Strivectin - The Tax Free World Association convention draws over 10,000 people each year, with growing attendance. For the 2006 event, our Kaboomers took to the golf courses and targeted early attendees. We passed out much sought-after branded water (the coordinators of the event forgot to provide water for the players). The Strivectin labeled water was distributed by our street teamers dressed in Strivectin gear armed with talking points about the product and urging the target audience to visit the booth to find out more. While on the course, the Kaboomers also passed out branded golf balls with the Strivectin logo.
In 2007, our client was unable to obtain a booth at the event, so we created one for them - on a yacht. The backdrop to the Cannes Convention Center is the French Riviera and is adjacent to a marina that houses some of the largest yachts in the world. We rented a yacht for the entire week, covered it with Strivectin signage, and held two cocktail events for their exclusive clients. In addition to turning their yacht into a booth, we had street teamers on branded segways passing out Strivectin branded water and directing traffic to the yacht for additional meetings. ________________________
Strivectin – CosmoProf Hong Kong was one in a series of CosmoProf international trade shows that targeted the cosmetic industry and buyers from all over the world. For this project, we combined creative design and placed advertisement on escalators and hotel room keys. In addition, we had product drops placed in all the rooms of near-by hotels. To further encourage distributors to visit the booth at the show, we had our Strivectin branded street teamers passing out additional samples and materials outside the event. ________________________ The New Leaf – The New Leaf is one of the most established and reputable floral shops in Hampton Roads, targeting large events and weddings. This year they celebrated their 20th year in business and closed off the streets to hold one of the areas largest parties of its kind. Kaboom was there to help promote their anniversary and be part of the party. Our creative design team worked with our street teamers to develop and coordinate a projection show that attracted the attention of all. The projection advertisement was meant to be a side branding effort to capture the attention of people walking through the event. What we didn’t expect was to have an audience that actually sat through the entire projection show several times, creating an even larger buzz throughout the crowd.
Internet Marketing
Pampered Passions – The online lingerie shop Pampered Passions was having a problem. No one was feeling particularly passionate about underwear. For this campaign, our online Kaboomers created a campaign to drive traffic to their website and increase online purchases. We worked with a travel wholesaler and created a vacation getaway for two and promoted online as a contest. The goal was to drive traffic to the website through an incentive to enter to win a romantic trip. We supported the contest with hours of online placements in the form of organic conversations in forums, blog sites and social networking sites across the net. ________________________ ChemDry – ChemDry is a network of carpet cleaners with franchises all over the world. Our Internet specialists worked with various franchise owners to help them develop their own customized online grassroots campaign. We started with the website, creating relevant and highly ranked SEO keywords so their websites would come up faster and more often in organic searches online. Once the keywords were established, we created several packages and placed them on the net where we knew the audience was surfing. Finally, we created an aggressive and detailed Google AdWords campaign that resulted in a very successful pay per click campaign.

Non-Profit Marketing Cambodian Association of Illinois – CAI is a non-profit based in Illinois. Its main purpose is to set up programs in education, health, and general wellness for the survivors of the Killing Fields of Cambodia. One of the most important elements to their continued growth is their major endowment fund, which raises money for their programs. Our creative staff worked with their team to promote several areas of their organization: SEO Keyword development, Blog development, creative ad development, free placement of their programs in area magazines and newspapers, and web enhancement through design.
________________________ Planned Parenthood – Planned Parenthood of Southeastern VA needed a facelift – well, an online facelift. Our creative designers worked with the staff at PPSEV to determine what they liked and disliked about their site and how to make it better and more useable for their target audience. Our team used the standards of design to create a website that provides information in a professional and user-friendly manner. Both are essential to the continued success of this organization.

Adithi – Adithi is a non-profit organization working to help the farming community in Southern India. In order to create a presence strong enough to bring in donations and assistance, Adithi hired Kaboom Advertising to create their branding through website development and logo design. ________________________ Creative Design Re/Max – is one of the largest real estate companies in the country and consistently attracts qualified agents competing for an opportunity to be a part of the Re/Max team. To help a few agents out, we have set our designers on task to help create unique logo designs that set them apart from the pack, while still holding on to the credible nature of the Re/Max name.

Fathead – MySpace is where Fathead felt their fans were so that’s where we put them. For the clueless, Fathead is an online novelty site that sells franchised traded wall applications for the NFL, NBA, NASCAR and much more. Our designers worked with the current branding of Fathead to create a MySpace page that encouraged the whole world to be their friend. In fact, we are a friend ourselves - purchasing a 7’5” Chewbacca for the base of our staircase. When working late, he stills spooks a few of us, but is a welcome addition to the office.
________________________ Old Dominion University – one of the commonwealth’s largest universities is also the home to an extensive liberal arts and language department. This spring, ODU hosted an international Opera superstar and pianist for a community-building concert. Kaboom’s creative team developed the brand for all materials posted online and around the community.
