The Who, Why & Where PDF Print

Who Are We?

We are a group of researchers, designers and street-teamers with combined decades of experience in media buying, web design and SEO, and marketing planning. Before Kaboom, we were involved in guerilla and street attacks, non-profit organizations, Fortune 500 companies and academia. Together we are devoted to fresh, effective and fun advertising escapades.

Alex DeLarge is the CEO of Kaboom Advertising. Described as intellectual and elusive by those who work for him, Alex is an enigma – ever present without presence. He oversees the company while traveling the globe in pursuit of advertising genius.  This genius has produced work in Italy, France, China and the United States. Always on the look out for the next best thing, Alex spends his time observing human nature and its insatiable need to be impacted and impressed. Normalcy is not an option nor welcomed. While out absorbing this world and seeking chaos, Alex’s skills of engagement take him from side streets to banquet halls. An aficionado of the arts, he frequents the grand theatres of Europe in pursuit of the classics, thus the ever present finely tailored suit. You may see Alex while on your own adventures. If lucky, you may even meet him and think, “Who the hell was that?” Enjoy.

My name is Shannon Bowman, not Molly Shannon and I am the Marketing Director for Kaboom Advertising. As such, I of course rock the media world like a superstar with my years of experience working with non-profit and alternative advertising firms. You may think that vain, but then again, I’m thinking I look better in plaid than you do. My experience with Kaboom has been an additional career adventure. Who else gets to work for a week off a yacht docked in Cannes? No cubicles for me, no ma’am, just red wine. I have enjoyed working for Alex in the most exotic of places, but call Virginia home. Growing up near the Mason-Dixon Line perhaps explains my desire to look around both sides of every wall and explore beyond to what can’t be seen. I use this curiosity to seek beyond myself as well (which can be difficult being a superstar) and contribute my time to life beyond the office. When not working, I serve as a board or committee member for several local organizations in Hampton Roads. I am also often seen visiting local restaurants and breweries, doing my part for the economy and researching what’s new. My name is Jamie Douglas.  I currently hold the position of Promotional & Field Manager at Kaboom Advertising but plan on taking over the world.  I graduated from Virginia Tech, home of the Hokies, in May of 2007 with a degree in Marketing Management and a minor in Public and Urban Affairs.  I haven’t a clue what I will do with my minor, but it sounds rather civic, don’t you think? While at Virginia Tech, I was an active member of the Marketing Club and also held the position of Vice President of Membership (a worthy stepping stone to World Leader). My experience in Marketing is mostly in the promotional field.  I worked with various marketing firms to promote major brands on campus and within Hampton Roads.  I was a campus representative for CSTV (the college sports network for CBS) which involved my promoting CSTV around campus and during sporting events. I would gladly assist you as well before you end up serving me. All you need do is contact me at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Though I have three names, I do not have three personalities, just the belief in the power of three. I am Gregory Addison Yuengling, III, the liaison for Alex DeLarge. A graduate of Oxford University and a Rhodes Scholar, I find working for Kaboom the most challenging of all my endeavors. When I am not accompanying Alex through the streets of Europe, Asia, or the U.S., I am working on project research and expansion. Ever curious as to how to improve upon, combine, or discover the latest technology, it is my fervor to offer only the best to our clients. Aristotle wrote of the Three Unities – Unity of Action, Unity of Time and the Unity of Place. It is this combination that best represents guerilla marketing. Having the right elements acting in unison at the right time and right place is what Kaboom and I do best. Test us, test the power or three, and test yourself. You won’t be disappointed.
