Permission-Based Email Campaigns (No One Likes SPAM, Especially Us)
That is not to say we don’t like or service permission-based email campaigns. We actually send e-news to our Kaboomers and clients ourselves. Permission-based email is just that. We have permission through an opt-out system which lets us know that we are sending correspondence to people who not only don’t mind getting our materials, but actually ask for it. Regular, well-designed e-alerts and e-letters are great ways to promote new campaigns, products, services, calls-to-action, or whatever to your current client base. With features like send to a friend or sign-up for a chance to win we collect important information about the consumers or users who you want to reach and retain anyway. Proper internal list-building combined with creative designs are what true email campaigns should be about. And we do that very well! Email marketing is not only effective, but also trackable. When the time and effort is put into a well thought out email campaign you want to know exactly how it performed. Each email marketing campaign comes complete with a report with information on how many people opened the emails, how many forwarded on to a friend, how many opted-out and what steps the reader took after accepting the email. This information speaks volumes about the email itself and about your site. |

There is an email list for every type of client you would ever want to reach. Do you want to send your product newsletter to all the moms in Decatur who are between 25 and 32? Or send a software promotion to the CEO of every Fortune 500 Company in America? Or even send a one-time-only sale to all the kids online who play video games? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions or even thought about marketing to your audience through random email campaigns from purchased lists, call someone else. It’s called SPAM. We hate it, you hate it, everyone hates it. It’s illegal anyway. Actually, it's not if done correctly. That’s how so many companies get away with it. The laws do allow for unsolicited emails, but the guidelines are very strict and particular. Since we are an alternative agency, people may believe that we participate in this type of marketing method, but we don’t. Even if offered big bucks we won’t touch it.
